FC Bayern Munich have sacked manager Felix Magath. A serie of bad results are the main reason for his sacking. Former FC Bayern favourite Ottmar Hitzfeld has already been named as the new manager in several German papers.

FC Bayern Munich have sacked manager Felix Magath. A serie of bad results are the main reason for his sacking. Former FC Bayern favourite Ottmar Hitzfeld has already been named as the new manager in several German papers.
Magath found himself under constant pressure at Bayern after a serie of disappointing results and a increasing (five point) gap with Bundesliga leaders Werder Bremen.
Magath has won the Bundesliga twice and the German Cup since he arrived at Munich in 2004.
