This is the third part of The Beautiful Game's search for the players you think have played the best this season, for our premiership dream team. Tim Howard and Gary Neville are the first two names on the team sheet now we are looking for a left back.

The Candidates for left back are as follows

Ashley Cole - Regular left back for England and played an importnat part in helping Arsenal win the championship.

Wayne Bridge - Since Wayne joined Chelsea from Southampton last summer he has been a regular as Chelseas left back and has grown as a player. Wayne is pushing Ashley Cole for that left back spot in the Euro 2004 championships.

Olivier Bernard - Bernard has been fantasic in a newcastle defence that is improving all the time. Bernard is strong in the tackle and isnt afraid of taking on defenders at the otehr end of the pitch. Its only a matter of time before Olivier is in the french squad.

John O'Shea – O’Shea broke onto the scene last season, with some fantastic displays and this season he has played the most games out of any of the united defence

JLloyd Samuel - The England Under-21 star has been reliable and the back and quite happy to run up and down the left flank and has been a big part in Villas push for European football

Mauricio Tarrico - The controversial Argentine left back has go himself into trouble this season with some of his tackles and off the ball antics but he remains as spurs left back and continues to do a job

The other candidates are Wolves Lee Naylor, Middlesbrough’s Franck Queudrue. Portsmouth’s young star Matthew Taylor definitely one for the future. Liverpool’s John Arne Riise, not as consistent or prolific in front of goal this season but still a strong candidate on the other side of Merseyside is Evertons Gary Naysmith. Leeds Ian Harte. Last but not least Southamptons veteran Graeme Le Saux.
