Northampton Town Take Control Of Sixfields Stadium

Northampton Town have been granted a 150-year lease on their Sixfields Stadium home.

The Cobblers' formally took control of their home from Northampton Borough Council at the interval on Saturday as Northampton took on Oxford United.

It was reported that the deal will save taxpayers £300,000 a year in running costs.

Chairman and owner of the club, David Cardoza, has expressed his desire to develop the site "for the community".
