Adebayo Akinfenwa and Paul Green made sure that the Rovers' unbeaten record was extended to 14 games, aswell as securing promotion for the side.
I was actually in Doncaster for the final 10 mins of the game, on other business (well, I cycled from Snaith), but back to the point... I saw many Doncaster fans perched on ladders, boxes, crates, walls, all watching the game over the top of the Belle Vue, singing away to themselves, "Watching from a ladder", and the likes!
After the game, Doncaster chairman John Ryan said that town should be "proud of its football team" after Rovers sealed promotion for the second year running!
Speaking to BBC Radio Five Live, an estatic John Ryan said: "It feels wonderful, especially when you consider the hard times in the Conference when we were on our knees.
"We've got a tremendous team spirit, and when you're on a roll, dreams come true," he told BBC Radio Five Live.
"We're confident we can do quite well in the Second Division. We're not going up just to make up the numbers.
"
At the bottom of the table however, Carlisle have moved to within two points of safety with a draw at Leyton Orient.
With four games to play they now have 41 points, with York 23rd on 42 and Rochdale 22nd on 43.
York currently have two games in hand, and will face Bury on Tuesday.
If any of these teams pull off three points, Darlington (who lost 3-2 today after being 2-0 up at Southend) or Scunthorpe (who drew) could be back into the relegation battle.
