Jackson Fuming At Appeal News!

There is no video evidence available to challenge Abbott's red card for violent conduct and match officials have upheld the decision to send off Booth for "persistent infringement".

The news means that Booth faces a one-match ban, while Pawel Abbott will have to sit out three games. The Terriers are currentlt aiming to secure promotion back to Division Two, so this news is a massive blow.

Jackson was angered by this news and told the club's official website:

"It's a real blow and unbelievable really.

"I'm really disappointed. We couldn't appeal against Pav's sending-off through the video panel because there was no footage.

"So we wrote to the FA to see if they could clarify if the linesman saw the incident or not. He said he did, but the point is he never flagged. Why didn't he flag when the incident happened if he saw it?

"It was only after he spoke to the ref that he said there was a foul. I think it's appalling really. I still don't see how the linesman could have seen the Pav incident and why referees can't just put their hands up and say 'okay, I made a mistake'."
