April 4 2004
Bristol Rovers' joint caretaker-manager, Russell Osman, has praised his side's recent attitude as they slowly, but surely, move away from the foot of the table.

Rovers' Attitude Praised

The 'Pirates' overcame Cheltenham on Saturday, and Osman said: "The players' attitude has been to go out there and deal with whatever comes their way.

"It's a new side out there with a bit more strength and belief.

"But they are realistic and know things will not go our way all the time."

Following their 2-1 victory over Cheltenham, Osman wants to see his side secure a place in Division Three for next season.

He added: "We want to get into the safety zone and make everything mathematically sure as quickly as we can.

"This win was another giant step forward for us.

"Not only in taking the points, but also in the manner in which we came back from a goal down to win, and in the fact we have now won back-to-back games for only the second time this season."
