Chris Holland, a midfielder and captain at Huddersfield Town until today, has joined Boston United on an 18 month contract which will keep him at York Street until the end of the 2004-5 season.
The ex-Preston, Newcastle, Birmingham and England Under 21 player is 28 years old. He did not however sign in time for tomorrow's deadline, so will not play for his new club at they take on Bristol Rovers. He should however, make his debut at Bury.
Chris Hogg has now definitely returned to Ipswich Town after missing the team bus to Cambridge on Tuesday afternoon.
AFC Bournemouth winger Danny Thomas has also signed an 18 month contract at Boston and is expected to give Mark Angel some tough competition for a regular place on the left flank. Thomas is 22 years old and may make his debut tomorrow at home to Rovers.
He played 74 times for Bournemouth, including games against Lincoln City in the Third Division Play-off Final from last season.
The third player to join Boston, is Hull City midfielder Steve Melton. Melton has previously played for Brighton and Hove Albion and will stay at York Street until the end of next season.
The 25 year old played 33 times for the Tigers, including a substitute appearance against Boston Utd earlier in the season.
Trainee Stoke City striker Jermaine Palmer is expected to sign on loan in time for tomorrow's match.
