Thats Right... Blame The Ref!
By Matthew Jones
March 14 2004
Kidderminster Harriers manager Jan Molby was left fuming yesterday by the performance of referee Steve Tanner as his side battled to a 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient.

Bad Ref Day

The first 50ish minutes were spoilt by the wind, but things erupted late on in the game, as both teams were left with 10 men.

Referee Steve Tanner disallowed what would have been a 54th-minute equaliser from Adam Murray when home goalkeeper Glenn Morris was left needing treatment following a challenge.

A mass scuffle broke out just moments later, leaving Orient's David Hunt and Kidderminster's Dean Keates being shown the red card - while there were eight yellow cards in total.

Kidderminster boss Jan Molby said: "There were yellow cards awarded that wouldn't have been given in a netball match, let alone a football match."

For a very good match report, we reccomend a trip to Harriers-Online.co.uk!
