Carlisle Fans Let Down

The Cumbrians had lost only twice in 12 games before this result but Simpson said: "We were poor and we have let ourselves, the club and the supporters down.

"There's no getting away from it - at one stage it looked as if we might lose by five or six.

"Torquay are a very good side, but our marking for the first goal was poor and you can't afford to do that."
