Away Days: QPR |

Just got in from
QPR. Got in a bit of a mess with the tubes and missed over 20 mins plus had
to leg it to the ground from station. Got there I'm very sure the stewards
and Turnstile bloke nicked our twenty pound notes for themselves.
Was really suprised to see approx 300-350 Wrexham fans (keep The Faith) was
also suprised to find out it was 0-0. Unwrapped my flag across some empty
seats and got an earful of Racist Abuse from the QPR fans.
Settled down in my seat only to be pleasantly suprised by Wrexham's get
stuck in attitude. You couldn't really fault Wrexham tonight well not in
their attitude and commitment. This kind of attitude at Peteboro would have
certainly saved us a beating. By half time it was still 0-0 and to be honest
what i saw of the first half we pretty much kept QPR at bay. It was a great
ground to go to so much better than Peteboro at the weekend. There was
approximately 15,000 there and they were pretty vocal even tho it was still
0-0.
Stephan Thomas caught my eye tonight as playing well but it really was a
good all round performance better at the back, more agressive in midfield
and everyone getting stuck in. I felt really disappointed that we didnt get
anything out of this game. The goal came out of nothing from a corner rather
than some fine piece of QPR skill but even then you had to fancy us getting
something from the game. After the goal Wrexham had a lot of possesion for
the next 20 mins and to be fair the second goal came as a result of us going
for it rather than sitting back. It was a fast furious game but Wrexham held
their own for much of it. Our supporters did us proud turning out to support
the lads despite the last couple of results and the players gave it their
all tonight but unfortunately luck wasnt with us. Finally I must give
mention to the QPR keeper for his appalling time wasting.
