Wrexham manager Denis Smith made some interesting comments after the 6-1 drumming at the hands of Peterborough United. Some players were out of their depth was the cry from manager Smith as both he and the fans wonder whats gone wrong in the past two away games.

Denis Smith: I’ve said this season that for us to do well, we have to avoid suspensions and injuries. Today we had them and its cost us dear.

On days like today you find out about players and some of them out there were out of their depth. I wasn’t very complimentary afterwards but one strength that we have had has been out defence. But if you take three out of your back five then you’re going to give yourself a problem.

This was totally different to Bournemouth as that result was a fluke with 3 late goals and we were down to 10 men. This one bothers me because without being rude to Peterborough, Bournemouth were a far better team.

We have too many people who think negative rather than positive and I’m talking about those out on the field. If they are not mentally strong enough then they should not be out there because the pressure comes when you are 2 or 3 down and you soon see who wants the ball, who don’t hide and will still chase and work.
