Franco Miranda nearly got a second for the buddies when his free kick rifled off of the bar in 62 minutes and Marc Corcoran was unable to take advantage of the follow up.
Moutinho turned into the provider for Falkirk’s fourth goal when the head of Barrett met his cross and sent it passed Chris Smith.
St. Mirren’s dismal display was rounded off when Finnigan round Chris Smith and slotted the ball into the back of the net.
