By Jamie Cockburn June 29 2007
St. Mirren have added four new faces to their squad for next season which include Inverness's Craig Dargo, Dunfemline's Gary Mason, Cardiff City's Mark Howard and Oldam Athletics Will Haining. These new signings are a sign of things to come as saints don't just ain to stay up, they aim to progress.

29-year-old Dargo refused the record offer from Inverness to join St. Mirren on a free agent.

Central midfielder Gary Mason left Dunfermline to stay in the Scottish Premier League, defender Will Haining has joined from Oldham Athletic and goalkeeper Mark Howard has joined from Cardiff City.

20-year-old Howard, who began his career at Arsenal, played in Scotland before when he was on loan at Falkirk in 2006.

Haining, 24, has played at Oldham for the past six years and captained the side last year.

Mason, 27, refused to sign a new deal at Dunfermline to stay in the SPL after spending six years at East End Park.

Dargo is the perfect replacement for John Sutton who has moved to Wycombe Wanderers and scored 31 goals in his two seasons at Inverness.

MacPherson said, “There was a lot of hard work went into capturing these players, we have a list that we would like to bring to Love Street and when you capture the players at the top of the list it brings great satisfaction”

“We have missed out on a few players that were on the list but there is still players on the list that I’m looking at and hoping to bring to the club”
