Dunfermline 0-0 St. Mirren
By jazza March 11 2007
Chris Smith kept the game goal less after a great save to deny Dunfermline three points that they so despertly need for survival in the Scottish top-flight.

The best chance of the first half then fell to Crawford in the 36th minute as he connected with Greg Ross's cross, but the header bounced just past the post from six yards.

Kean was first to threaten after the break, heading wide from six yards following a Richard Brittain free-kick.

Adam Hammill drove wide from 20 yards at the other end, while Stephen O'Donnell fired past from even further out for St Mirren.

But it was Dunfermline who began to pile on the pressure and denied three quick chances.

An O'Brien cross found Hamilton, whose shot was blocked by Smith, the goalkeeper denied Crawford on the rebound and Hammill blasted over.

St Mirren took heart and De Vries pulled off a superb, one-handed save to deny Broadfoot and Brittain fired just wide from long range.

Smith was again to the rescue, turning a deflected free-kick from Glass wide with an excellent save.

Saints are still not safe and they need to stop playing for draws and go and pressure other teams.
