Ross County Club Guide - For Away Fans

Fans Impressions

Victoria Park has seen a lot of development from the club's Highland League days. From just a small stand and one covered end the ground is now smart and well appointed place to watch football. Accommodation is available for 5,800 fans, 2,800 of which is covered seating

The road leading to the ground is Jubilee Park Road and this runs along the back of the old west stand, which is being extended to run the full length of the pitch. At the north end is the Jubilee Terrace which is generally for away fans, but is not currently covered. Seats for away fans are available in the west stand.

At the south end is the home fan's 'Jail End' covered terrace, accessed from Jubilee Park Road, and to the east is the newer east stand which occupies the middle 50% of the east side and is flanked by uncovered terracing. This is accessed by walking behind the 'jail end' to the turnstiles. There are two club shops inside, and burger bars situated around the ground. There are sixteen private boxes in the east stand and disabled access for both home and away fans to the two terraces behind the goals.

By Road

From the South

Take the A9 Perth-Inverness road. At Inverness stay on the A9 crossing over the Kessock Bridge.  7 miles North of Inverness turn off the A9 at the Tore roundabout and take the A835 (2nd exit).  At the Maryburgh roundabout turn onto the A862 (2nd exit).   This road leads straight into Dingwall

From the East

Take the A96 Aberdeen-Inverness road. At Inverness join the A9(North) at the Raigmore interchange. Continue on the A9 crossing over the Kessock Bridge.  7 miles North of Inverness turn off the A9 at the Tore roundabout and take the A835 (2nd exit).  At the Maryburgh roundabout turn onto the A862 (2nd exit). 

From the North

Turn of the A9 at the Cromarty Bridge roundabout and take the A862 (2nd exit). This road leads straight into Dingwall.

From the West

Turn of the A835 at the Maryburgh roundabout take the A862 (1st exit).  This road leads straight into Dingwall

By Bus

Bus services from the North, West and Inverness all stop in Dingwal town center.  Passangers from beyond Inverness will have to change at Inverness but there is a frequent bus service from Inverness to Dingwall and vice-versa.  The phone number for Stagecoache's office in Inverness is 01463 239292

By Train

The train station in Dingwall is only 100 yards away across the bridge from Victoria Park.  Passengers from South of Inverness will need to change at Inverness taking either the Kyle or Wick/Thurso trains both trains stop in Dingwall.  However train services through Dingwall are few and far between. The bus service from Inverness is much more frequent.

General

Victoria Park is situated on the eastern edge of Dingwall, very close to the railway station, main bus stops and town centre. There is a car park (£2) but the town's main car park is only 5 minutes walk away and allows a walk through the town centre to the ground. Dingwall has a population of around 6,000 and sometimes half this number attend league matches. Ross's catchment area however is spread over a wide area that stretches to the west coast as part of the old county of Ross and Cromarty. Dingwall itself is a pleasant but unassuming town, who's major function appears to be a centre for the surrounding area. There are plenty of buses to and from Inverness and to the nearby towns of Invergordon, Tain, Alness and Strathpeffer. There are approx 6 trains a day to/from Inverness but these are not timed very well for matches on any day. There are plenty of places to stay at.

Car Parking

There are plenty of car parks around the town center which are free and only a 2 minute walk from the Ground, there is also a new car park behind the West Stand at the ground but there is an entry fee

Pub & Grub

The Caledonian Bar

The pub is very popular with both home & away fans, and serves a good pint and a great food. This pub also contains The Croft, located in a separate building behind the lounge bar.

The Mallard

This pub is very popular, again with both home & away fans. This pub is ideal, as it serves a wide range of drinks from coffee (either standard or Irish) to a varied bar selection. The food is also very good, and there is a large varied selection on the menu. The real bonus for this pub is it's location, as it's only about a two minute walk to the ground!

The Strikers Lounge

The bar is located within the main stand. Home and away fans are welcome.
