Leicester striker Paul Dickov is set to undergo a hernia operation with The Foxes having a week off and the Scottish striker being forced to serve a 2 match ban in the coming weeks.
The former Manchester City hitman has been in prolific form this season, in tandem with Brian Deane as Leicester march towards an immediate return to The Premiership following relegation last year.
Boss Micky Adams will be disappointed to lose Dickov but knows in the long run its for the best: "Paul has been suffering with a hernia problem for the last three or four weeks."
"Now that he has received a suspension we are looking at a 3 week gap when he wont be able to play any football."
"We may use that as an opportunity to get him and under the surgeon's knife to sort the problem out once and for all".
