Crystal Palace striker Ade Akinbiyi is to see the specialist that helped Robert Pires back from a career threatning injury.

Akinbiyi's season has been awful for him this term , it's one injury after another for the Former Wolves striker.

Akinbiyi has only started two games for the Eagles this season, has the forward has been struggling with a niggling knee injury.

Phillipe Boixel is the man famed for saving one of Frances hero Robert Pires , and Akinbiyi who picked up the injury against West Brom last term is hoping to see if Boixel can get his healing hands working again.

Akinbiyi added "I am going to try and see Phillipe as soon as possible as he did a remarkable job on Pires."

"For now, I will only play again this season if we get a lot of injuries. My priority is to be ready for next season."
