Chris Ray from our fellow Sportnetwork site upthegills.tk profiles the first of two Gillingham players Rod Wallace

Rod joined the Gills on a free from Bolton in the summer of 2002, the former
Southampton, Glasgow Rangers and Leeds player has had his season dogged by
injuries but has still scored a few important goals for the cause.

He began his career at Southampton and played alongside his brothers Danny
and Ray, a move to Leeds followed where he again scored plenty of goals (53
in 212 games) before a free transfer move to Ibrox where he helped the 'Gers
to the domestic treble in his first season.

He joined Bolton last season and aided their escape from relegation back to
Division One after one season, before he joined the Gills this summer, he
has scored 5 goals so far and if he can stay clear of injury for the rest of
the season, he could play a vital role.
