Hotshots - Bradford's Ashley Ward

strong and powerful
By J Bateman
March 10 2003
We welcome back the hotshot's profiles - in this one we profile Bradford City striker Ashley Ward.

Ashley Ward signed for Bradford from Blackburn for £1.5 million having spells before that at Manchester City, Leicester, Crewe, Norwich, Derby and Barnsley , the transfer was yet another million pound plus layout that Ward has gone for with transfer fee's ranging from £1.5 m to £4.5m.

Ward is not really a prolific goalscorer but has still managed 104 goals in his career so far , he is a player that has a tireless nack of being in the right place at the right time for his other striking colleges and is very powerful in the air.

Bradford have brought a player in Ward that will always give you 100% and they will hope they can stay up because Ward is seen to many as a bad luck omen having been at Barnsley and Blackburn and seeing both sides relegated.

This season he has been unlucky with injuries and really hasn't been around much to help Bradford away from the bottom of the table.
