Tommy Boyd

Tommy Boyd was well known for co-presenting Thames Television's children's magazine, Magpie, in the late seventies and also TV-am's Saturday morning show, the Wide Awake Club, in the mid-eighties.  He started to do late afternoon continuity junctions in 1983 not long after the idea of Children's ITV was formed. The presenters changed on a monthly basis although Tommy Boyd is probably the most well-remembered of them - he was quite regularly doing the links. At that time, the links were pre-recorded by Central and very obviously scripted.  Since then Tommy has had a career in Radio , he joined Talk Sport and was there presenting the 10-1am slot for a few years until he was sacked for alleged misconduct on air .

Ian Darke

In a distinguished broadcasting career, Ian Darke has covered nearly all of the major fights over the last 20 years. Ian has commentated on such all-time greats as Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Mike Tyson and Roberto Duran as well as broadcasting colleague Barry McGuigan, Frank Bruno, Lennox Lewis and Prince Naseem Hamed.   He joined Sky Sports at its launch and in addition to working on boxing, he teamed up with Andy Gray for Sky's FA Premier League coverage.  Since 1994, Ian has worked largely on Sky Sports' boxing programming and has now lost count of the number of world title fights he has covered in his career. Away from the ring, Ian is a lifelong fan of his hometown club, and catches up with his beloved Portsmouth F.C whenever possible.  He is also a keen cricketer and has scored three centuries for his local village team in Claygate, Surrey.

Fred Dinenage

Fred must be one of the South’s longest-serving broadcasters, whose connections with ITV go back to the 60’s. His television career began in 1964 with Southern Television, and he has worked non-stop as a broadcaster ever since. Fred's been co-presenter of the award-winning Meridian Tonight since the station went on air at the beginning of 1993.  He joined TVS in 1982 as a Senior Sports Presenter, and for nine years was co-presenter of the nightly news programme, Coast To Coast.  He also presented a series of the political debate Questions, more than 100 editions of the networked panel game Tell The Truth.  In his spare time, football is my chief relaxation - He's a dedicated Pompey fan , living in Hambledon, Hampshire with his wife Beverley, daughter Caroline (30) and  20 year-old twins, Sarah and Christopher, plus three Greyhound "rescues" and a n old, but much-loved horse called Sian.
