Hot Shots - Grimsby Town's John Oster

on loan
By Matt Lond
March 10 2003
Hotshot profiles Grimsby Towns on loan winger John Oster , back to were he started.

John is back at Grimsby for a month at the moment having left Blundell Park five years ago in 1997 to join Everton for £1.5 million.

During his first spell here everyone knew he was a player for the future provided he had the right attitude and to be fair he has let some people down who thought he would make it big in the Premier League.

He joined Everton and Sunderland but hasn't played many games in their colours and has come back to Grimsby on loan to help the team get out of the bottom three and so far has done quite well, scoring one goal in two games.

He adds pace to the attack, is quite skilful and links up well with our right back down the right wing and is a constant threat to the opposition with or without the ball as he is good at making runs too.
