We welcome back the Young Gun feature and todays future star is Michael Dawson , Nottm Forest fan Kevin Bethell gives us the low down on this future talent.

As a product of the excellent Nottingham Forest Youth Academy, Michael will probably be the next big money exit from The City Ground following in the footsteps of Jermaine Jenas who joined Newcastle earlier in the year for £5m.

A tall and commanding player, solid in the air and dangerous at set pieces Dawson has managed to keep out of the side one of last seasons star players in Jon Hjelde and has formed a mean central defensive partnership with veteran Des Walker, should this partnership stay consistent throughout the season Forest will surely be up there challenging for a place in the Premiership.

However, several rumours indictate Dawson could well be the subject of a big-money transfer bid from one of the Premiership big guns with Leeds leading the chase for the player's services, should he be sold Forest will be looking for something in the region of £6m as the player could easily turn out to be the next Rio Ferdinand.
