Wise asks Leicester for £500,000 pay-off

Wise - £500k pay-off
By Paul Holmes
September 14 2002
Dennis Wise is reported to be prepared to quit Leicester City, if the club give him a £500,000 pay-off from his contract.
Wise was sacked by The Foxes following the incident in pre-season that left Callum Davidson with a fractured cheekbone.

The Football League then ruled that Leicester could not sack Wise and forced the club to reinstate the 35-year-old. Leicester challanged the decision and a final verdict will be reached next week.

Now a report in the Daily Express claims that Wise is willing to walk away from his two-year contract with Leicester, which is worth £3million, providing the club give him a £500,000 pay-off.

It is believed that Wise is keen to restart his career with Watford, with whom he has been training.
