Do I need to Log in to Post?

Yes, It’s free and easy to join, you just need to pick a Username and email address – you password will be emailed to you. (If the email doesn’t arrive, check your Anti-spam filters and folders – it sometimes gets removed!) There is a link on our menu to create a new user.

How do I change the font in my messages?
The message board uses something called BBCode – these are TAGS you have to put BEFORE and AFTER the font you want to change:-

[b] This will change the text bold [/b] example

[i] This will make the text Italic [/i] example

[u] This will underline the text [/u] example

Note: The closing tab has a forward slash ‘/’ in it which means it is the end of the tag!

You currently cannot change font colour or size

How do I link to another Webpage?
This is done using BBCode Tags again.  You have to enter both the address of the webpage and a name fo your link

Eg:

[url= http://your-link.com ] Your link text [/url]

In this example, the Green font is the URL, the Red font is what you want to call your link (this appears in your message on the board) – The items in black are the pages and all need to be entered (Take notice of the square bracket in the middle)

Eg. [url=www.bbc.co.uk] Click here for the BBC[/url]

(This will appear as Click here for the BBC in your message0

You can also enter email links however we discourage this on the board as it opens your email up to abuse.

How can I put images in my messages?
All you need is the address of the image itself – the image must be stored in a public place on the internet, not on your own PC or behind a password site like Hotmail. To find the address of a picture, right click on the picture itself and select properties – the following box will appear and the address is in the middle - Strike it out with your mouse and copy it.

Now that you have the URL (Address) of the image, simple add the [img] and [/img] tags before and after it in your message:-

Eg   [img] http://www.sportnetwork.net/mainadmin/img/2771139387975.jpg [/img]

How do I add a Signature to my messages?

Choose the edit your profile options at the top on the board – add either text or images to the signature box at the bottom of your profile screen (use the BBCode tabs described above if required). When you edit your profile, you can add other useful information including an image of yourself or a Avatar – we advise again to exercise caution when adding personla information such as messenger details or email address – make these private or leave them blank of you do not want anyone to contact you!

Having problems…..

If you are experiencing any problems using the site or the message board, the most common cause is your Cookies – clear your cookies from your web browser and try again – you will need to log on after clearing them though
