Leeds look to next season

Leeds are looking at a big overhaul in the off season, with new boss Brian McDermott targetting 7 players to bolster the squad. He has already cut 10 players, including Paddy Kisnorbo, Leigh Bromby and several youngsers - onloan striker Habib Habibou has also been let go as Leeds chose not to take up the option of a transfer following his loan.

There are several positions that need strengthening - another centre back is a must, as is some creativity in midfield, where I would like to see 2 central midfielders coming in.  Mccdermott likes to play with wingers, so I would expect one or even two widemen coming in.  Another striker is also a must, to compliment McCormack and Morison.

Much of the transfer policy will depend on young Sam Byram - he's rumoured to be the target of several clubs, with figures between £8 and £10 million banded about.  To take the club  forward, Leeds need to be keeping hold of the likes of Byram - however, in the real world, an offer of around that amount - potentially with a loan back clause, is likely to be accepted.
