Leeds put in another good performance, but again, failed to hold on to a much needed 3 points. There is no doubt that we are playing much, much better, but draws are not a lot of good to us at the moment.
Credit where it's due though - the last 2 games, away at Leicester and Palace, were tough - and under normal circumstances, we'd have been delighted with a point. However, with games running out, we need 3 points almost every game to put us in with a chance of a play off spot. In both games, we have also been leading late in the game, but failed to hold on.
On Saturday, Palace had the better of the first half - although we competed. The home side took the lead though when Murray headed in a deep cross.
The second half saw us press more, and when Varney was released down the left, his sqaure pass was hammered home by Morison to bring us level. Shortly after, and we were in front - with a much more basic route. Paddy Kenny kicked long, and Morison rean on to fire home superbly. Leeds had a chance to put the game out of reach, but McCormack snatched at a chance and it went wide. With 7 to go, Murray got his second, volleying home form a great cross. A draw was about fair, but did neither side any favours.
Leeds entertain Peterborough on Tuesday night, with a win absolutely vital to maintain any lingering play off hopes...
