Leeds grabbed a deserved 3 points on Saturday, but were made to work for the full 90 minutes to get it. A determined Hereford side never made things easy for the inform Whites, and when they did find a way through, goalkeeper Darren Randolph was in superb form. Strikers Bechio and Beckford were denied countless times by the onloan keeper, as Leeds dominated.

A determined Hereford side never made things easy for the inform Whites, and when they did find a way through, goalkeeper Darren Randolph was in superb form. Strikers Bechio and Beckford were denied countless times by the onloan keeper, as Leeds dominated.
Leeds boss Gary McAllister made 2 changes from the side that won their last league game at Carlisle. Andy Hughes and Neil Kilkenny were the unlucky players as Macca went for the inform Andy Robinson and youngster Jonny Howson. Robinson has looked lively in recent cup games and as a sub, and he was a constant thorn in the Hereford side. Despite dominating possession, and firing in many shots, a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing meant the game was scoreless at the break.The second half saw more of the same, as Leeds rained in dozens of shots, without making the breakthrough. The winning goal came with less than 20 minutes to go – Becchio was again denied by Randolph, but Robbo fired home the rebound. Despite a nervous last 5 minutes, the Whites held on, and it’s now 6 straight wins in all competitions.
