Spurs are after 16 yr old Leeds prodigy Tom Elliot
By SA
March 26 2007
Spurs are pondering on whether to invest few millions in their youth system or on school-kid Tom Elliot, 6'3 targetman from the coveted Leeds Academy . After poaching Lennon for a paltry amount from Leeds in 2005 , one can't blame Spurs for coming back to square one , i.e the Leeds United Academy.
Though Elliot is absurdly projected, as usual by the English media, as the biggest prospect to come out of Leeds Academy in the last few years, his raw potential is undoubted. Tom trains twice a week as he is still attending school and he has already made his 1st team debut of the bench versus Norwich this season. He easily beats other 16 yr old compatriots for height, speed and strength. As always, the Leeds fans live in hope with respect to the future of this lad at the club. Though they are "wise" enough to expect an assertive answer Chairman with regards to these rumours, only for him to go back on his words this summer .
