Tottenham and Wales winger, Simon Davies will miss the start of the 2004/05 season due to the 24-year-old undergoing surgery to solve a shin injury. It puts him in doubt for Wales' opening two games of the World Cup Qualifying Campaign.

Tottenham and Wales winger, Simon Davies will miss the start of the 2004/05 season due to the 24-year-old undergoing surgery to solve a shin injury. It puts him in doubt for Wales' opening two games of the World Cup Qualifying Campaign.
Wales visit Azerbaijan on the 4th September before playing Northern Ireland at the Millennium Stadium on the 8th.
Spurs boss Jacques Santini said: "It was important for Simon to go ahead with the surgery.
"He is a key player for us and I hope to have him back in my plans as soon as possible."
Davies Currently has 19 caps for Wales and it now seems his 20th Cap may be saved for the blockbuster encounter against England at Old Trafford, the first time the two countries will have played each other in 20 years.
