A welcome 'coming back', a few temporary 'goings' (Fingers crossed on at least one of them!), and the opportunity to watch the mighty Coventry City on the (Fairly) cheap! (Fifty-quid for three Coventry City home fixtures? Bargain!). And a reserve team victory over the nearest thing we have to a 'rival'....

Possibly due to poor attendances in the opening few fixtures, the club have stated that anybody buying tickets for the next three games will get them for the bargain price of £50. Those fixtures are: Southampton on October 4th, Burnley on October 21st, and Derby on October 25th.

The superb rear-guard action from the Coventry defence (All eleven of them!) versus QPR saw Fox and Ward make the Championship 'Team Of The Week'. Clinton Morrison was unlucky not to take the right-back spot, with McAuley of Ipswich taking said position....

Stephen Wright will hopefully be available for inclusion soon, having been told by a specialist that his achilles tear has completely healed.

Three Coventry City players are or could be going out on loan: Kevin Thornton to Brighton (Where he will once again team up with Mickey Adams, Andy Whing, Colin Hawkins, Adam Virgo, and the on trial former Coventry loanee Brian Kerr!); Gary 'Superstar' Borrowdale to Colchester; and Kevin Kyle to any of Stockport, Hartlepool, and Leyton Orient (No interest from Premiership or Championship clubs? Surprise!). Surely somebody wants Chris Birchall too? Loan one get one free?!

Kevin Kyle's goal after 57 minutes was enough to see Coventry City Reserves defeat League One Leicester's second string. As with their match against Stoke on the last day of the season, where failure to win saw them relegated, Leicester did hit the bar, but rarely troubled Andy Marshall in the Coventry goal. Ben Turner was injured in said fixture, and is expected to be out for a month.

Coventry's away fixture versus Reading has been moved to Monday December 1st, and will now be shown live on Sky Sports. Here's hoping Doyle (Their Kevin, not our Michael) and the two Hunt's have hit a goal drought by that stage of the season....

Stuart Giddings has somehow ended up at Hinckley United - what an absolute waste of talent. He joins two other former Coventry players, Andy Gooding and Andy Hall. Nice to see somebody benefitting from our youth team....

In other old-boy news, Iain Dowie has been given the chance to pull of another fourth round cup shock at Old Trafford, as his QPR side have been drawn away to the Prmiership Champions.
