More news you might have missed about the Championship's eleventh best team, including the shock news that after ten years of not doing so, we're still no nearer to having a right-back AND proper cover at right-back (In more recent news, man invents wheel).

One newspaper has reported that Sheffield United are after Michael Mifsud. I'm not sure if this is old news that some lazy journalist has just discovered, or if SU are interested again! Following last nights fixture, I'm guessing he wouldn't be best friends with Sun Jihai anyway....

Recently released by Reading, one time Aston Villa right-back Ullses De La Cruz was on trial at Coventry City. With Coventry only wanting to offer him a one-month contract, and UDLC wanting longer, said deal was scuppered the day before the club played Preston - with Isaac Osbourne returning to the side to fill in at right back. Again. This coming after IO had said he was close to full fitness, and wanting to return to the side in his preferred position of central midfield.

Following the failure to sign UDLC, the club reportedly switch their attentions to another right-back seemingly made of glass, Stephen Carr.

With Stephen Wright still not available for selection, one previous potential target for the right-back or right-midfield place at Coventry City, Portsmouth's Martin Cranie, recently joined Charlton on a one month loan deal. Having watched his last display for the England U21 side, he could have done a decent job for us....

Coventry manager Chris Coleman has been fined £5,000 for being sent to the stand during the 3-0 defeat versus Bristol City on August 23. With video evidence used to over-turn John Terry's red card from last weekend, CC should have used video evidence to prove he was massively provoked.

Leon Best slammed Coventry supporters for booing the team off the pitch following the recent draw versus Preston (Said reaction would not have happened had he not spurned a few glorious opportunities to score and help us to victory). Chris Coleman, on the other hand, said Coventry supporters were entitled to boo.

Coventry City performance director John Murtough has left the club to join Everton, less than six months after joining the club. The club are now looking for a replacement, though will more than likely shove somebody from the midfield, or maybe move a striker in to a position they're not used to, as a short-term solution....

More rumours of Kevin Kyle sodding off elsewhere have failed to materialise, with Hartlepool linked with the lumbering so-called striker .... though at the time of writing, and despite having said piece of information in my 'drafts' folder for ages, he's still at Coventry City.

Coventry Chairman Ray Ranson has set the Sky Blues a target of gaining promotion to the 'License To Print Money' League by 2012. Should the club fail to do so, he, along with SISU, will more than likely look to sell the club.

Watford's Mart Poom has been linked with a loan move to Coventry City, while it was also recently revealed that Plymouth have enquired about taking Coventry City old-boy Gary McSheffrey on loan.

[ The missing three match reports will be posted ASAP! ]
