Playing Catch Up : 2
By CovSid67 August 25 2008
Catching up with some of the news concerning table-topping* Coventry City, from 'Week Two' of the season, that I haven't reported on (Yet!), and you might not have read elsewhere! (And I still won't be nicking other peoples articles and passing them off as my own).

Dimi Konstantopolous, expected to be out 'til December through injury, wants to join a new club before the transfer window shuts!

Repeating comments made all to frequently over the summer, there is still little interest being shown in the players the club are looking to get rid of. Speaking of which, Chris Birchall was substituted in the Trinidad game against Cuba, suffering from stomach cramps.

Coventry City 's new 24-hour ticket hotline is now open. The ticket hotline (Back to luke-warm after the Newcastle fixture!) is 0844 412 4633 and a postal transaction fee - which is currently charged on all posted tickets - will be levied as per normal.

Chris Coleman claims Stephen Wright's injury is 'not a major problem'. If he misses any games at all, I disagree. And, as he's the only right-back we have, I also beg to differ....

In slightly non-news, Jay Tabb wants Coventry City to win some matches, Michael Doyle wants a place in the first team, and Ray Ranson wants the Arena filled. Well, if they're doing it, I would like to win the Euro Lottery this Friday please....

Freddie Eastwood managed 80 minutes for Wales against Georgia (They lost 2-1), Michael Mifsud played 90 minutes for Malta (They lost 2-1), while young master Gunnarsson played for Iceland in a 1-1 draw.

* Also late! Apology on Barnsley article....
