Catching up with some of the Coventry City news from 'Week One' of the season, that I haven't reported on (Yet!), and you might not have read elsewhere....!! (I won't be nicking other peoples articles and passing them off as my own - I'll leave that to others).

Coventry City have been drawn at home to Newcastle in the second round of the Carling Cup, with said fixture also being shown live on Sky Sports on Tuesday August 26th, kick-off 7.45pm. Prices for this match are: adults £20, concessions £10.

Following Michael Mifsud's display against Aldershot .... more than likely based on Michael Mifsud's displays before January 2008, Sheffield United are said to be interested in the 'Maltese Sports Personality Of The Year'.

Donovan Simmonds, worth holding onto just for this boast when signing for the club: "I am an exciting player with skills and I want to put on a show for people. That's what it is all about - it is entertainment at the end of the day", has been loaned out to Kilmarnock until December 31st.

Following the resignation of Ruud Gullit, and the sacking of Alexi Lalas, former Coventry City bit-part-player Cobi Jones is - for the time being at least - David Beckham's manager at LA Galaxy!

Coventry City have turned down an attempt by former boss Iain Dowie to sign Robbie Simpson. And, according to reports, QPR's chairman also stopped Dowie from trying to sign the player! Another pay-off coming up for ID, me thinks....
