Coventry City finally sign a player - Hibernian's Guillaume Beuzelin! WBA had been rumoured to have been after said player fairly recently (With their boss Tony Mowbray having also worked with him at Hib's), so if he's good enough for a team who apparently played the best football in The Championship, he's good enough for us! Attempts at bringing in Schmichael and Eastwood are said to be 'ongoing' - a bit like my attempts at winning the Lotto. A final bid has also been made for Luton's David Bell, though it has been dismissed as 'not enough'; while rumours also link Coventry City with Aberdeen striker Chris McGuire, who, according to soccerbase, averages a goal every 10 games (Admittedly, a lot of his appearances involve coming on as a substitute, but it's doubtful his capture would sell many season tickets).
Michael Mifsud could soon be off, with Birmingham (Swap for money and McSheffrey?), Rangers (Swap for money and Novo?), and Sunderland (Erm .... just money please) all said to be interested in the player that seemingly went missing after Christmas(ish). It's also reported that Wolves want Kyle! Sadly, it's Burnley's Kyle Lafferty, not our very own, and very unwanted, Kevin Kyle (Though Southend are said to be interested). Colin Hawkins has left the club, linking up again with Mickey Adams at Brighton. Hawkins expressed his disappointment at not being given a chance by Chris Coleman - a fair comment after doing well in the previous season. Stephen Hughes hasn't left the club, but there's still plenty of time....
8,000 season tickets have already been sold for the coming season, with over three weeks still left to buy at the Early Bird price. The club are still seeking to find premises in Coventry City centre to replace the West Orchard shop, and getting a bit of a shift on would seem like a decent idea, in the hopes that a few 'floating supporters' being dragged round the shops by their other halves on a Saturday, might just be tempted to part with their cash....
