(Pontins League Central Division fixture unless marked otherwise)

v Huddersfield 3-0 (Home): A fairly strong Coventry side cruised to victory, thanks to two goals from Kyle (20 and 59 minutes), and another from Simmonds (53 minutes).

Team: Ireland, McNamee, Page, Grandison, Francis, Cairo (Cain 80), Hildreth, M. Hughes, Thornton, Simmonds (Ashraf 69), Kyle. SNU: Burgess, Robinson, Walker.

v Wolves 3-1 (Away): Coventry took the lead after two minutes thanks to Simmonds, but Wolves equalised eight minutes later Bothroyd. Four minutes later and Andrews scored the third of the game and his third of the season, and another Andrews strike just over 10 minutes from time sealed the victory.

Team: Ireland, McNamee (B. Jones 62), Francis, Grandison, Giddings (Robinson 45), Burtoft, Hildreth, Davis, Andrews (Ashraf 80), Simmonds, Kyle. SNU: D. Marshall, Walker.

v Shrewsbury 2-3 (Home): Two-nil up, thanks to Davis and Andrews, before going on to lose 3-2! (Making three deafeats in three games for the second string). And two of those conceded were the fault of Ireland in the Coventry goal. Not a display likely to impress the watching management team of Dowie and Flowers....

Team: Ireland, Robinson, Francis, Barnett, De Zeeuw, Turner, Burtoft (Marshall 77), Hildreth, Simmonds, Andrews, Davis. SNU: Burgess, Ashraf, Fitzharris, Grandison.

v Walsall 1-2 (Home): Poor keeping from Ireland gave the away side the lead, before eighth-choice(!) striker Andrews equalised for Coventry. A Walsall breakaway from a Coventry attack around the hour mark, resulted in a winner for Nicholls.

Team: Ireland, Robinson (Grandison 90), De Zeeuw, Turner, Burgess (Wynter 65), Cain (Richie 84), Gooding, Burtoft, Davis, Simpson, Andrews. SNU: Collett, Ashraf.

v Stoke City 0-2 (Away): No Doyle, and no Ward, due to suspension (Like they would have played anyway!). There was a run-out for the much needed McNamee, which sadly lasted a mere 10 minutes, before he limped off injured once again. Grocott scored for Stoke after 26 minutes, while CCFC old-boy John Eustace scored the second goal for the hosts after 54 minutes.

Team: Ireland, McNamee (Robinson 11), Francis, Hildreth (Fitzharris 47), Burgess, Turner, Cairo, Burtoft, Simpson, Birchall, Davis. SNU: Collett, Ashraf, Wynter.

v Bedworth United 3-0 (Friendly, away): A fairly simple stroll against Bedworth, though if their players can't keep the stupid challenges to a minimum, I would suggest Coventry City don't bother with this fixture again. Kevin Thornton limped off after a blatant kick, while Simmonds also hobbled off for the visitors. Simpson scored a goal in each half for Coventry,  while an attempted Jones shot was latched onto by Hildreth, and put away with ease, to make the score 3-0.

Team: Collett, Robinson (Jones 75), Giddings, Hildreth, Burgess, Francis (Hollist 86), Marshall (Richie 71), Thornton (Fitzharris 25), Simpson, Simmons (Ashraf 51), Davis.
