By Nathan Jackson
July 23 2005
Meheta Malongo helped the Imps to a 4-1 win at Gainsborough Trinity. City also won 2-0 at Lincoln Moorlands. The on-trial striker scored twice in the first half and ran an impressive Gainsborough side ragged. Goals from Birch and Coleman comleted the win at Northolme.

Gainsborough actually controlled the first 20 or so minutes but City's superiority soon started to show through and the impressive Malongo scored the first half way through the first half with a drive from the edge of the area. He made it two just minutes later when he tapped in a cross. Birch added a 3rd after he was founded at the back post and released a stunning volley.

Green had a goal disallowed for an apparant foul on the keeper before Omari Coleman made it 4-1 after being put through. Nat Brown also had a goal disallowed for apparantly being offside from a Green cross.

In the other game of the game, goals from Dacon Bacon and Shane Clarke saw of Moorlands.
