Last Season After the years under Paul Brush, Orient had been hoping for a season of improvement and had arguably the best striking combination in the division with Lee Steele and after a slow start, they started climbing the table and came to Sincil Bank in late October. They showed a lot of determination and were a much different Orient side than in the recent past and ending up winning 4-3. However, that win started their downfall, that win had taken them top of the table, they only won 2 of their next 15 games and the slide down the table commenced and only 9 wins between October and May tells it's own story.
This season? One or two intriging signings makes Orient look like possible dark horses but when Orient suddenly find themselves on the up, they soon find themselves crashing back down to earth. I have quite a few Orient supporters as friends and occasionally an appearance on their message board so I know how frustrating Orient are just by reading that. As I say, it will depend a lot on if Steele and Alexander can keep the goalscoring up and if they can find a consistancy they so often lack.
Prediction 14th, although on their day, they can do anything as the game at Sincil Bank proved but they have WAY too many off days and that is usually their downfall when chasing promotion.
