Announcement regarding next week's fixture release
By theimps.tk
June 12 2009
Theimps.tk would like to make a statement regarding the release of the fixture list next Wednesday.

The fixture list is the first exciting part of every season, with all teams in the Football League finding out who they play at when, and understandable some fans can get excited about this. However, without the appropriate licence, we are not legally allowed to have a list of fixtures produced at any time during the season.

With the fixtures released next Wednesday, we would like to make it clear that we will not tolerate posting of fixtures as it makes Sport Network, myself and the poster liable for all legal remifications. I will be posting an article with whom it our first fixture is against and highlighting the major fixtures, but anyone found to be posting the full fixture list on the message boards will be indefinitely banned, no exceptions.

Sorry for not wanting to have legal action taken against me.

Random Fact : Nathan's favourite movie is Willow (1988).

Nathan, you and I must be telepathic! I posted a very similar message on Imps Forumer at about the same time that you did so on here!

To everyone else, Nathan does NOT need to get a life, nor is he one to give out Labour Party edicts. The fact is, if either of us were to let any message quoting anything other than just three or four fixtures on our respective message boards, we would be liable for prosecution under the copyright law.

That could even mean being closed down, believe it or not.

Don't the FL charge £300 or something to post them on websites?

Chesh must be too busy preparing for his SATS to be watching the Cricket.

'Show me a child at 70 and I will show you the Man'.

Primary school education is tough going and you've got to take those exams seriously (even if I am paraphrasing the quotation).

Nathan is spot on. I am one of the people approached to monitor message boards who publish the complete fixtures without a licence. We have declined to work for the blazers this end but the blazers are out to catch whoever they can from next week.

Unless you want to pay £340 plus VAT to do so. If so, contact the Football League.

PS: I didn't vote for NuLabour which, currently, seems a good call this end.

Re: Announcement regarding next week's fixture release
I've voted at nearly every election and only ever for the Liberals (I won't mention the SDP). Absolutely nothing is my fault, as I have singularly failed to vote for an elected representative my entire Adult life.

I'm sure that says a lot about me for good and for ill.

Me, too, and I have voted in every election since February 1974!
