Good Evans, Steve wants Gall
By Nathan Jackson October 11 2008
Steve Evans has spoken of his desire to take City's on-loan Carlisle striker, Kevin Gall, to Crawley. The former Boston United manager is keen to add Gall to his squad and believes that the goal-shy striker would be a great asset to his promotion chasing side and will hold talks with John Ward next week.

Gall joined the Imps on loan from Carlisle in the pre-season and although no-one can question his effort, him being linked with leaving Sincil Bank is hardly likely to cause too many ripples of disappointment in the stands. Gall has so far failed to score for City so far in nine league and cup appearances, missing open goals along the way.

Despite his generally appalling scoring record, Steve Evans is very keen to take him down to Crawley Town, currently top of the Blue Square Premier after thrashing Barrow 4-0 on Saturday afternoon. They currently lay just one point ahed of the chasing pack, headed by Kettering Town.

Evans told nonleaguedaily.com that negotiations for Gall are already under way. “I have agreed to speak to Carlisle boss John Ward after the weekend but I understand there is a recall clause in the loan. If there isn’t, the deal is dead until Christmas. I’ve tried to sign him a couple of times in the past. He would be a real asset to us in the system we play. Kevin is based up north but he’s from the south and is best pals with Simon Weatherstone."

If Gall does go to Crawley, he will link up with former Imp, Simon Rayner.
