Darlington are one of the sides that should have won promotion by now and they would have done last season had it not been for one of the worst injury crisis' ever seen in the division. That is Darlington's only major stumbling block towards promotion and I still feel that they lack a strength in depth that is necessary to break into the top three. However, I'm still confident they can go on to make the Playoffs.

The injury crisis seriously dented any chance of automatic promotion that they had last season. Only two wins in their final twelve games not only saw them fall out of the automatic promotion picture, but also see less deserving teams get it ahead of them.

I'll be honest, I hate playing Darlo, you can near enough guarantee that City won't get any points of of them during the season and I've personally only ever seen us beat the Quakers once in about sixteen attempts. They are one of the best sides in the division and they seem to adapt their tactics well to be able to handle any opponents.

They also have one of the strongest defences in the division, only MK Dons conceded fewer goals than them during the 2007/8 season. That is the main weapon at their disposal and if they can keep their squad fit, as well as put goals in the net at the other end on a regular basis then will more than likely be on to a winner.
