Lincoln's hopes of signing Hamza Bencharif have been dealt a blow after the Algerian was offered a new contract by Nottingham Forest. The defender had a successful loan spell at Sincil Bank earlier in the season and it was hoped by many fans that he would join on a permament deal.

Hamza's debut for the Imps came in a 1-1 draw at Bury...in which he gave away the penalty. Hamza played consistantly well and then mysteriously disappeared. It was claimed he was in hospital and we haven't seen him since. It was hoped that he would come here on a more permanent basis, but it now looks as though he is set to stay at Forest.
Hamza is one of several players offered a new contract at the City Ground, although one of those isn't Kris Commons. He isn't being offered a new contract after he told the "Tricky Trees" he was planning on leaving.

Same situation as Dodds really.
The contracts will be either sitting in the reverses or playing first team football???
I guess, Jackson and Iffy have to sell the club and its ambitions and see what happens.
At least Hamza and Dodds have played for lincoln already and know the differences to the team since Jacksons arrival.

Can't say iv seen anything official about Hamza being a target of Lincoln City!

Given the choice of Bencherif or Dodds, I'd take Bencherif and be willing to pay him a bit more.
No disrespect to Dodds but Becherif plays in a position that we need to urgently address if we are going to move forward.

Jacko mentioned at the Newark Fans Forum that he was interested in bringing in Hamza on a permanent basis during the summer.
