Wycombe and Stockport draw in 1st Leg
By Nathan Jackson May 11 2008
Wycombe and Stockport County are no closer to knowing who will be appearing at Wembley after drawing 1-1 at Adams Park on Sunday evening. It was hardly the most exciting game in the world and two very good, but also very different goals proved to be the only bright points in a game that is otherwise forgetable,

Delroy Facey gave the hosts the lead on 37 minutes when he capitalised on a poor clearance by Ruddy to slot home. Within 2 minutes and a foul by Docherty on Dickinson saw Jim Gannon complain for the ten trillionth time this season.

Dickinson had a goal disallowed after 58 minutes when he was caught offside, but that was a rare shot for Stockport as far as the opening of the second half had gone. Rowe missed an open goal for the visitors just past the hour mark for a Stockport side playing in their dark-beige coloured shirts.

With 8 minutes to go, Stockport County scored an absolute stunner when Gleeson hit a volley from about 25 yards and it sailed over Fielding and into the net. This prompted a pitch invasion from the Stockport fans and their first bit of noise since they went behind in the first half.
