Paul Green named as Player of the Season
By Nathan Jackson May 3 2008
Despite being part of a defence which conceded a whopping 90 goals in competitions this season, Paul Green was awarded as the Player of the Season. Green has been one of the few defenders to come out of this season with an respectability and was rewarded by becoming the third defender in a row to win the Player of the Season.

Green has arguably the only consistant player this season. His efforts have probably been the main reason we didn't surpass the 100 goals conceded mark. He also came ino with a very rare goal last week with a left footed effort against Morecambe. He follows Jamie McCombe and Lee Beevers in becoming the Player of the Season as a defender.

He beat off challenges from the only other players who really deserved a chance of winning it. Scott Kerr came second and Jamie Forrester came third following his 14 goals.

Danny Hone won two awards. His first was the Away Day Player of the Season, and he was the joint winner of Young Player of the Year along with Lenell John-Lewis.
