No Imps in PFA Team of the Year

No Lincoln City players were selected in the PFA's team of the year. The XI were dominated by players from MK Dons and Peterborough, the two teams taking up 7 of the available spaces. Lee Frecklington made the team last year for the Imps but a poor season means that see no City players in the team comes as no real shocking.

MK Dons are the most represented team with four players in the XI, Peterborough have 3 whilst Brentford, Darlo, Barnet and Chester each have one representative.

The fact there are no City players comes as little surprise. City have had a very disappointing season and no-one has stood out, but hopefully next year we'll see quite a few Lincoln based players in the XI.

GK - Joe Lewis (Peterborough)

RB - Craig Pead (Brentford)

CB - Danny Swailes (MK)

CB - Stephen Foster (Darlo)

LB - Dean Lewington (MK)

MID - Jason Puncheon (Barnet)

MID - Keith Andrews (MK)

MID - Lloyd Dyer (MK)

MID - George Boyd (Peterborough)

ATT - Aaron McLean (Peterborough)

ATT - Jack Lester (Chesterfield)

to be honest, why on earth is joe lewis in there?
dont think he played whole season has he. plus he has barely been tested i bet severely

He only joined them in January.

to be honest, i have struggled to pick a player of the season for the imps this year, but for overall consistency my vote has gone to Paul Green.
