Jamie answers the prayers of the Imps
By Nathan Jackson April 22 2008
Jamie Hand has revealed that he wants to leave Sincil Bank, a bit of information that will come as music to the ears of a lot of City fans. Hand impressed early on at Sincil Bank, several frustrating performances later and he was being shipped out to Oxford United on loan. He has revealed he would be happy to join the U's on a permanent basis.

""It's a performance that I know I am capable of week-in week-out," Hand told the BBC after completing his first pass of the season against Woking. "I am enjoying my football and I'm happy. I will be giving my all until the end of the season. It's a club I am very fond of, but we will sit down at the end of the season and take it from there."

The news that Jamie would consider a permanent move away from Sincil Bank will be met with happiness by the majority of the fans at Lincoln City. He made a decent start to his career with decent performances against Mansfield and Accrington. However, his performances and successful pass ratio certain dropped soon there-after and he became one of the main reasons for our relegation battle this season.

An alledged prima-donna attitude cost him a place in the first team at Sincil Bank. He infamously ran out as a sub during half time but refused to do any practicing with his fellow subs, instead he chose to sit in the dug-out doing nothing. A few days later and he had been loaned out to Oxford United.

Hand is one of several players expected to be shown the door in the summer, and the news that Oxford are potentially willing to take him permanently is brilliant news.
