Milton Keynes Dons and Peterborough are now both guaranteed at least a Playoff place following wins. The lowest either can finish now is 7th with Rochdale now the only side outside of the Top 7 who can still catch them. However, they are guaranteed the top 7 based on that Chesterfield are 22 points behind them with only 18 to play for. So even if Rochdale do get into the top 7, it will force Chesterfield out and that makes it impossible for the Dons and Posh to catch them.
Hereford will rue a missed chance after the three sides directly below them failed to pick up maximum points. If Hereford had won at Lincoln then they'd be 4 points clear of fourth, instead they're now just one point clear. The race for 7th is getting more interesting thanks to Rochdale thrashing Rotherham. There are now just 5 points seperating Chesterfield in 7th to Brentford in 10th. Rochdale will still be hot favourites to take 7th though as they have 3 games in hand on the rest.
Mansfield and Wrexham are both now in deep trouble. Both are on 33 points with are 7 points from safety. They play each other next Tuesday and know that the losing team will effectively be relegated.
Aldershot moved 14 points clear at the top of the Blue Square Premiership witha 1-0 win at Crawley. That gap will be down to 12 if Cambridge win at Ebbsfleet. Aldershot could effectively not pick up another point this season and still be the likely promoted team to the League.
Port Vale delayed their relegated until at least Saturday. They beat Gillingham at Vale Park and it leaves them 15 points from safety with 18 to play for. If they lose on Saturday they will have to hope Crewe lose as well otherwise they will go down.
Luton gave themselves hope with a 0-0 draw at Millwall. They now can't be relegated on Saturday due to a game in hand. A Bournemouth win also gives them a minor chance of staying up.
