Lenell John-Lewis is another product of the youth team and one that has made a fairly immediate start for the Imps and has impressed many Imps fans with his displays. Lenell has a tremendous amount of belief in his ability and that saw him put in a good performances against Macclesfield, scoring one and setting up two more.

Lenell was yet another young player given an unexpected run in the team under Peter Jackson. He made a surprise League debut in a defeat against Wycombe Wanderers a year after making his overall debut for the club. It didn't take him loong to score his first goal either, a cheeky chip over the goalkeeper in a 3-1 win at Stockport.

He was a first team regular at the beginning of the 2008/9 season, playing in the right midfield position and again impressed, scoring his first goal of the season against Dagenham and Redbridge from a volley.
