About theimps.tk : A brief history
By Nathan Jackson December 28 2007

Theimps.tk is an unofficial website dedicated to Lincoln City Football Club. Lincoln City are a football club that are currently in League 2, English football's fourth tier. The website is run by Nathan Jackson, he has run the website since it's opening in 2003 and has dedicated many hours of his spare time to keep this website updated.

After a slow start with the site getting little over 1,000 hits a month, the site suddenly boomed when it was syndicated onto national websites such as Newsnow and it now averages over 15,000 hits a day. The message board suddenly kicked into action and went from a new message once every 4 or 5 days to an average at one point of a message every 15 seconds.

Several features were added including the Ground Guide and a editorial called "Bournemouth to Bournemouth," a story of Nathan's final 5 weeks of the 2002/3 season.

In March 2006 theimps.tk was voted as the Site of the Month, the first time since the website started and it turned out that we would also be the final website to win this award.

In 2006 Nathan expanded the site to include a Youtube channel that followed his experiences on away games following the Imps. These videos didn't start as they were initially hoped and hits were very low. Over time the videos have grown in popularity and now Nathan gets recognised in places he's never visited, somewhere he's not overly keen on.

In April 2007 the videos were given national coverage by Zoo Magazine as they were featured as a part of the build up to the playoffs. They highlighted a trip to Bristol Rovers that Nathan had just taken part in. The weekend saw Nathan travel down for the weekend with Ben Grundy and Mark Lovely to celebrate the latter's birthday. However, a fight between Ben and Mark resulted in the three getting ejected from the hotel.

In 2008 the website enters it's 5th year and in that time Nathan has been helped on a semi-regular basis by other people who have wrote articles and have been in the videos, so Nathan would like to thank the following individuals for their contributions, apologies if anyone has been forgotten;

Terry Peacock, David Parrott, Robert Patterson, Julian Soons, Matthew Harris, Ben Grundy, Mark Lovely, David Pickwell, Daniel Baumber, Daniel Taylor, William Taylor, Phillip Donnor, Nigel Stefanyszn, Andrew Tinker, Simon Gurney, Tony Speakman (Merry), Lawrence Pont, Duncan Bayes, Stewart Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Simon Chanter, Gareth Fields, Ben Fox, Samantha Fox, Sally Sentence, Pixie, Ian Calvert, Robert Makepeace, Dean Burley, Julian Burley, Eric Akrill, Cheshire Imp (Alistar), Alex Latham, Adam Mawer, Matt Thomas, Sam Langford, Chris Ashton, Matthew Denton, Daniel Denton, Peter Steele, Nathan Norris, David Kirkbright, Jack Crane, Luke Small, Spencer Barton and Jack Taylor.

And of course I would like to thank everyone who reads the site at one point or another.

Theimps.tk is always on the look out for new contributors to the website and will read any article that is sent to him that people want to be put on the website. Please note that not all requests can't be accepted but if you're more than welcome to try.

If you wish to get in contact with Nathan then he can be contacted at bestfriendsbecomestrangers@hotmail.co.uk. Please put why you are contacting Nathan in the subject, for example if you want to write articles for the site then put something like "Possibility of Writing Articles?" in the subject line.
