Toner scored last time
Lincoln City are no strangers to Mariners fans, tomorrow's fixture will be the 105th time the two sides have met in all competitions since 1884.
Last time out the Mariners beat the Imps 2-1 at Sincil Bank back in September to earn the Mariners their first win of the season so Buckley's men will be hoping to seal another three points against the team who sacked him back in 2002. Justin Whittle scored the first, former Mariner Jamie Forrester equalised for the Imps before Ciaran Toner's penalty sealed all three points for Grimsby.
Buckley can count on an almost fully fit squad ahead of the local derby with only Nick Fenton definitely out through suspension. Ciaran Toner should see some action after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the Accrington Stanley defeat on Wednesday. Changes are set to be made though as Buckley was understandably unhappy with the lacklustre performance against Stanley. Danny North and Peter Bore could both start tomorrow.
Lincoln boss Peter Jackson is dumbfounded by the Imps' poor form this season. The 4-0 defeat against Darlington last week and the 2-1 loss against Bradford on Boxing Day leaves the Imps three points and one place below the Mariners. He can, however, rely on a fully fit squad tomorrow. Gary Croft will play and star player Lee Frecklington is likely to cause our midfielders some trouble.
