North fit for Boxing Day clash

Danny North
By Chip Butty News December 24 2007
Young Grimsby Town striker Danny North looks set to return to the fold on Boxing Day as the Mariners play host to Accrington Stanley. The young fan's favourite was forced to sit out the last game due to illness but he is likely to play some part in the festive fixture.
The Grimsby-born youngster has scored three goals so far this campaign and will be looking to add to that tally in this Wednesday's home game against Accrington Stanley.

Martin Butler returned to action on Saturday and scored in the 1-1 draw at Edgeley Park, his first for Grimsby, so North may only make the bench.

In-form striker Gary Jones is likely to partner Butler up front.

Centre-half Nick Fenton picked up a back injury at Stockport but seems to have made a full recovery and should start while Peter Till and Isaiah Rankin are hoping to play some part of the fixture after spending much of Saturday on the bench.
